Let's give a 'voice' to the trees at BAM - Biblioteca degli Alberi, in Milan
We installed 300 sensors, developed by PNAT, on the trees of the circular forests.
Thanks to relevant data, we demonstrate that every single tree in our cities, rather than a cost, is a valuable investment.
We measure and report in real-time the CO2 absorption for each tree, along with the amount of pollution eliminated from the atmosphere, and the economic gain that each tree contributes to the overall city ecosystem.
PNAT's technological solutions provide us real-time detailed information on each tree's stability, and the benefits trees have for our citizens.
Not only we will be able to better protect our city trees, but we will also be empowered to act effectively in favor of endangered trees. This will help us avoid the ever-growing significant damages caused by extreme weather conditions.
Each tree works as a node of a graph. The data on CO2 and pollution absorption, along with the economic gain of each tree, are shown in dedicated areas of the city of Milan.
